Vumbura Plains

Vumbura Plains never ceases to amaze me. From birding and boating, to mekoros and great game, it just seems to have it all. The action started as we arrived at camp, with three cheetah moving through the dry floodplains and a male lion feeding on a tsessebe. The next morning we headed out to a dog den and were rewarded with a sight of ten tiny puppies playing around and suckling from mom. We also went in search of sable antelope and even saw an aardwolf – my first sighting ever at Vumbura. We found a herd of around 25 sable just in time, only 15 minutes before our plane landed to take us to Mombo.
